Artist Statement:
My goal as an artist is to encourage folks to seek joy and remind them that there are small bits of beauty in the everyday. In my abstract pieces, I strive to tell a story through color and texture. In my collages and mosaics, I take apart intentional images and designs and use the pieces to tell a new narrative. I am motivated by the process–layering upon layer, pulling back and pushing forward, constantly trying new things. I think in triptychs, my ideal way to express different sides of a subject, be it self-portraits, abstract images, or color explorations.
